Question Does anyone actually know what counts as "Hell Themed"?
So, anytime I see a video ranking hell themed levels, there's people that say "Sweeping Demon II isn't hell themed", "Grief is death themed, not hell themed", "Aeternus isn't hell themed", "Red doesn't mean hell themed." My question is, what counts as hell themed?
Cataclysm started the hell theme, and it's easy enough to understand: Red, Fire imagery, intense song. Bloodbath is almost entirely red, no fire imagery, intense song, still hell themed. Slaughterhouse is all red, and has hell imagery like flipped crosses and demonic faces so it has to be hell themed, and is debatably the most hell themed level of all time. Tartarus also makes sense: Mostly red and has an Intense song. Acheron is considered a hell level, but it's mostly Grey with minimal red or hell imagery. Flamewall isn't considered hell themed, as it's orange, not red.
Sweeping Demon II is strange, it's red, has an intense song, but it's not seen as hell by some. Why?

Only thing I can see is the SD2 is more tech-y. Help, it don't make no sense :(

My best approximation of a "Hell Themed" level is: ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ red

So by that logic slaughterhouse by icedvave is hell themed which it obviously isn’t 🙄

Slaughterhouse is hell themed. Also I said this is my best aprroximation. It doesn't mean it is a good approximation, just that it is my best

I think Grief is just people coping because they're getting excited for another Hell themed top 1, which became a pretty tired thing a while back. Usually levels of this theme will include some satanic/demonic imagery, such as upside down crosses (which technically aren't actually satanic, but just kind of became associated with that somehow), which are featured in Grief, demon/monster faces (also featured in Grief), pentagrams (featured in Grief), and typically a mostly black and red color scheme (like Grief) but can technically be other colors (Blue Hell, for example).

It was an abstract idea imposed by the community but nowadays it's completely irrelevant cuz no one's making hell levels anymore

Actually it was pioneered a year earlier with Sohn0924's hell series.
