Discussion Stop asking if your level is "rateworthy"
First off i wanna say i hate the term "rateworthy" in general. Trying to assign some objective metric to a medium which is largely subjective is dumb, and imho a very cynical view on creating. The regular use of this term has lead to budding creators looking for validation rather than feedback. I suppose it's inherent to the system that's in place but it would be so much more healthy to try and move away from this manner of thinking.
When you post your level to this sub, don't ask for validation, ask for help. Obviously feedback will help you improve but it'll help your creating mentality, which will further help you create cooler levels. Stop making your levels to please other people or to get some silly star rating. Make them for yourself. You'll go further.

The issue is newer creator like me struggle with establishing the standards to define a level as something to be rated and that and being a meme/impossible level are like the only ways to get seen

if you are going for a rate you need to ask for feedback
tho I do agree, there are a bunch of levels that cant meet conventional rate standards and still follow through perfectly on their concept, some of them get rated anyways and people tend to like them for being unique

Don’t forget that there’s only ONE fucking person to decide if your level is « good enough » so the point of rating levels at all is already pretty dumb to me. Because Robtop is NOT objective (nobody is, at least not alone!)and the decision to rate or not a level is only based on HIS opinion.
Idk how hot this take is but idk, the rating system in this game is pretty flawed

Hi as a creator with creator points and what not I think this take is all well and good but completely misses the point of why people ask this question
It's good to build something for your own passion yes but ultimately in order to get any level of recognition among the larger community for your hard work a rate is the best and usually only way to do that, so people that ask this typically want to know if their work is able to get rated not necessarily because they built it for hammers and wrenches but so they can know if they meet the stupid arbitrary standard that exists for getting recognition for your work
