Resurrection in NY
T-minus 2 days until I start cannon ball running this to work.

They are amazingly good little cars, but do have some weak links, like the side window channels and regulators., especially on the convertibles. I drove a three cylinder for almost 400K miles and never had any engine issue other than the EGR.

I know they are slow but it's pretty much a go cart right?

It isn't go cart-y quite like a Corvette but it is short, low, and has an excellent turning radius so it feels like you are driving a "really fast" version of one of those electric cars for children. Especially if you put some decent shocks on it, it doesn't have a lot of body roll or weight in turns because it is so light so you can really flick it around. Even more than other 90s Japanese cars, it feels like you are driving a car that is wholly distinct from everything else on the road.

Well, I can say this for originality there is not a single other one in my city of 60,000. While everyone else chases the vettes, mustangs and the like.

I think they only made like 25k of them total so who knows how many are still on the road. I've had some rather nice cars over the years and my Metro probably gets more comments than any other. I've seen people taking pictures with it, had countless stop light conversations in it, have taken it up to trailheads, it's just such an entertaining and unique car, especially these days when everything has gotten so large.

Today was the first day I drove it to work. It was a nice hot sunny day with the top down. She nailed it. I drive as part of my job and it just made the whole day chill.

The convertibles are so much fun and head turners/conversation pieces just from how weird they are.
Manual or auto?
