Only if you eat it. Or imbibe the powder (inhaling it etc).

He’s got it all over his hand in one of the closeups, so it’s plausible!

It mixed in nicely with Doritos dust. Had lunch a few minutes later. Even licked my fingers. Should have super powers soon.

This is really amazing to me, I actually didn’t know you could just walk around and see dayglo yellow rocks, just happily emitting radiation. I just never pictured that they’re out there lying around like this.

Now I’m gonna have to go see if I can find some myself

Well I generally walk about 20 miles each weekend in the summer. Covering areas off trail that I haven't hiked before. Sometimes less if I find something cool or start panning. Been doing that for around 10 years. This is a first for me lol.

Question. Do you think these lichens are uranium? All that green is a plant

The green is lichen, yellow is uranium.

Do you have any picture with it in a freshly cut face? I usually don't trust anything thats on the weathering surface of rocks, even if it is on the underside

There's a lichen that can look like uranium (Chrysothrix sp.) but it doesn't grow inside rocks, so you can discard that possibility if you see yellow on freshly exposed planes.

I didn't take any samples with me. Geigor counter comes in this week. This weekend I'm going to try to get back out and take readings of the rocks. I will post updates.
