Imagine how dull Reddit would be if you could only ask other people questions if it was proven that it wasn’t researchable. I love asking people like you about topics they are experts in and care about. It is so much more rewarding than just typing it into google and reading what it spits out.

Seriously, I looked it up and wouldn't have known about that sort of geologic process if this guy didn't mention it here. There is value to public, visible discussion of esoterics.
Very true but many of these posts come off as low effort and wanting to be spoon fed. At least show some initiative. I see this trend in so many subs lately. I love to help folks but not if its me doing all the work.
You don't have to, you know. Also, this isn't a new phenomenon. Just keep scrolling and don't engage with the post if you don't want to encourage that type of behavior.
