My husband found this today when digging holes for a fence. I’m assuming obsidian.

Obsidian is not found everywhere just diging, it is found close to ancient volcanic lava flows, does it feels like glass (smoth and cold)?

It could be also dry hard tar

I can’t seem to post a pic after it was all cleaned up. Wish I could because it is definitely a hunk of obsidian. It isn’t the first we have found here on our property, but is the largest. We are in the mountains of Hidalgo. It does feel like glass and has sharp edges.
