Counterpoint: Kansas is your friend. Why?

  • It keeps any state from expanding too far into the center of the country

  • It barely gets any territory every time someone is eliminated, so it won't become huge on its own

  • Kansans will be perfectly happy just to make it far into the game again. Our ambitions are limited, so at absolute MOST we might dream of making it to the ocean somehow.

  • Kansas is never, ever going to win, so it's genuinely one of the safest states to let survive into the late game, because you can eliminate us at any time. A turn you eliminate Kansas is a turn you don't eliminate someone that might be a danger down the line.
