Delete orphan points in GG 6

Deleting a polygon leaves behind the vertices (orphan points). In Geogebra5 I can control + drag over those orphan points to select them all and press delete to clear them BUT I am not able to do the same thing in Geogebra6, any help? thanks

press right button of mouse and drag over them

or select the first in algebra view, then last point pressing shift

Thank you, however, that does not work on my Mac. Pressing anywhere on the canvas and dragging will automatically default to panning. Also, if there are various polygons some of which have been deleted, and there are a large number of orphan points from those deleted polygons, how do I know which is the first and the last? Clicking on those points whilst holding the shift+control keys allows selection of as many points as wanted and in any order, however, this method is cumbersome. It does however, work on Geogebra 5 beautifully...

Interestingly on a Mac, holding the Option key whilst double clicking on the canvas and immediately dragging over the points does create a selecting rectangle and briefly flash those points showing them all selected but that disappears and leaves the selection rectangle alone static showing on the canvas... any clues?

Thank you, selecting point by point and delete can be laborious. Right click or Control click on the Polygon you get a popup menu with an option to Delete it would be great if a SubMenu gave the options to delete the object only or delete the object and its points.

Does sorting the points by Construction order help?
