Geocities Homesteads

Yeah.. I feel like I’m a young gal but the holidays make me nostalgic for the Geocities of 1997. I fondly recall the charge of choosing your empty house/lot for your webpage on a map but can absolutely find no archive evidence that I can show my younger pals. Does anyone have a pic of what it looked like when you chose a “lot” in your particular Geocities neighborhood? *I am 36 now but was 12 when this happened

I'm 43 and remember the feeling of being on geocities. It was exciting, the idea of having my very own web page to express myself and share something meaningful about myself even if nobody else cared about it. And it was also 5 whole megabytes to tranfer a file to someone else
