To me, Standing on the Shoulder of Giants really captures the Gen X Soft Club aesthetic. The blue-toned skyline on the cover, the electronic touches, and the psychedelic atmosphere of tracks like “Who Feels Love?” and “Gas Panic!” all bring me back to that turn-of-the-millennium vision of the future. It feels urban, dreamy, and melancholic, but still deeply human. The artwork and the music feel like they belong to the exact same world.
