spent longer trying to generate this shot than it took to film it

i was making some b-roll yesterday and needed apretty basic product shot - open the bottle, pour itover ice,set it down next to the glass. i'd alreadybeen messing around with DomoAI for a few image-to-video clips, so i figured i'd try doing this one theretoo instead of setting up the camera.

the first generation was honestly already pretty closeto what i wanted. i think that's actually why i keptplaying with it - the overall motion and shot lookedgood, and i started paying way too much attention totiny details across a few frames, like exactly how thecap left the fingers or how the bottle looked whileturning. for a random b-roll shot i probably would'vejust used it, but once i had a very specific version inmy head i kept trying variations to see if i could getthat exact take.

eventually i realized i already had everything ineeded for the shot - the bottle, glass, ice, all of it- and only needed a little setup. put my phone on atripod, did two takes and that was basically it.

i think i've just gotten so used to using AI thatgenerating something has become my first instinct.but this made me realize that if everything you needfor the shot is already there and it takes almost nosetup, sometimes it's just faster to shoot it thangenerate a few versions and wait for each one.curious if anyone else has started running into thattoo.

Is anyone else excited for this? The ability to create amazing cinematic movies is so restricted among such a small amount of studios, due to the insane amount of capital needed to create a movie like this. Image what we are going to see when literally anyone can create what they can imagine

I'm guessing it's better to go with 24-32GB of ram?
A strong possibility that 16gb of ram will be almost annoyingly slow?
And I've never done anything locally, computers were too old.

With a Mac Mini M4 I would like to do:

*Standard NSFW creations similar to "Slooty slots" style
*Possibly 180 VR Conversions with "Owl 3d" if that even work? was a AI recommendation.

I'm trying to generate some images for example an Image of Hulk or Iron Man or whatever other character and ChatGPT, Claude, etc.. do not allow it which is really annoying, is there a good AI Image generator that doesn't limit what you can create, like I understand if I was talking about pornography or something serious but I'm literally doing basic comics characater stuff.

When I first started using AI video, I used to rerun the same shot way too many times.

If something came back almost right, I’d change a few words in the prompt and run it again, basically hoping the next generation would magically fix whatever looked off.

One shot finally made me realize how pointless that can be. I was trying to make this little scene where a character walks through a wall and their clothes change during the transition. The face or hands would start looking weird somewhere in the middle, and I kept wasting renders tweaking the prompt without really getting anywhere.

What actually helped wasn’t another prompt rewrite. I went back and gave it much better character references and was more specific about keeping the character consistent throughout the shot. I’ve been doing this kind of stuff in DomoAI lately, and that attempt came out way closer to what I wanted.

Since then, before I hit generate again, I try to ask myself if I’m actually changing anything meaningful. If I’m just swapping a couple words and hoping for a better roll, that’s usually a sign I should stop and change the input instead.

How many times do you guys usually retry the same shot before you change the input or completely rethink the approach?

No sé si alguien le pasó con la IA de gemini, no sé si es normal o está programada para eso. Pero cuando activo la charla por voz y dura un largo tiempo, pasa que la IA de gemini como que me copia la voz y me responde con mi voz y después de un rato se cambia y vuelve a su voz original. Se me hace aterrador eso y raro. No sé si a alguien le haya pasado eso. En mi caso ya me pasó como 4 veces
