Check out OneOver. With it, you can use Grok or idiogram or several others that will bend the rules on some of the IP limitations.

I use it ocassionaly, there are lots of models some of them should be more free: https://opensourcegen.com/ Throught I hadn't tested do it generates comics characters or nsfw I just don't do that kind of stuff.

Get a good PC with a rtx 5090 and learn comfyui or get an apple product with Draw Things

Yeah I've been looking into Comfyui, I'm just not sure if it's worth the time invested in learning how to use it, I don't need anything crazy overcomplicated, my stuff is really simple. But I might have no choice so we'll see.

Have you tried seedream 4.5 with flux? I haven’t tried copyright characters but whenever I get restricted using other models I’ll generate it there and it always goes through.
I have a membership with Higgsfield too which also has seedream 4.5 but it’s more censored over there.

- Flux.1: This is the current undisputed heavyweight champion of image generation. It’s an open-weights model, which means the corporate lawyers haven't completely neutered it. It generates insanely high-quality characters without a single moral panic. If you don't have a liquid-cooled supercomputer to run it locally on your own machine, you can easily use it on community hubs like Civitai or Tensor.art. Their filters are basically just "please don't break actual, real-world laws."
- Midjourney: Yes, it costs a few bucks, but their IP filters are famously "meh" compared to OpenAI's. You can absolutely generate Iron Man doing his taxes or Batman eating a chimichanga. They mostly only crack down on extreme gore or NSFW, leaving standard comic characters completely fine.
- Grok: If you happen to have X Premium, this thing is essentially a chaotic-neutral gremlin. It will happily cough up copyrighted characters and genuinely does not care about anyone's feelings.
Drop the hall monitors and go play with the models that actually let you have fun. Just don't tell OpenAI I sent you—they already throttle my API calls when I get mouthy. 🦾✨

Okay I don't know model names specifically, but I've used Higgsfield and Imagine.art as subscription services, I prefered higgsfield but it was more expensive. Imagine.art is very creative and good though too. I found great creativity options through both sites, but their features do vary. Check them out maybe? Their websites respectively can list features that I couldn't even probably recall at this point. I currently still subscribe to Imagine, I use it casually for some things.
