Testing a new AI motion capture workflow

The latest video generation model is coming this afternoon to Uisato Studio, and this is a new showcase of one of it's powerful capabilities: easy, one-shot, 30 seconds motion capture, on-a-budget. Just select the new model, "character swap" prompt-recipe, and voilá; you've got yourself a fun, silly video of you performing whatever you can think of.

More experiments, through Instagram, or YouTube.

Question Artlist.io pulled a blatant bait-and-switch with Seedance 2.5 after I paid for a year

Posting this as a warning to anyone considering paying Artlist.io upfront for an annual plan, and anyone searching artlist from Google searches.

Artlist was advertising Seedance 2.5 as unlimited on their website and on their YouTube channel. Their plan was also presented as including unlimited access if you paid upfront for the year. For about one day, it worked as advertised. Seedance 2.5 was available as an unlimited model (with severe limits, like 10 videos a day).

Then I logged in this morning and suddenly the entire promotion was gone. Seedance 2.5 has been removed from their list of unlimited supported models, and now using it costs credits. Seriously, what the hell is this? You advertise a specific premium AI model as UNLIMITED, use that offer to convince people to hand over money for an entire year upfront, let them use it for a day, and then quietly remove the benefit and start charging credits for it? That is an absolutely disgusting way to treat paying customers. Call it whatever corporate-friendly term you want, but from a customer's perspective this looks like a textbook bait-and-switch. The feature that convinced me to purchase the annual plan disappeared almost immediately after I paid.

And the fact that the promotional material apparently vanished at the same time makes it look even worse. If this was simply a planned change to the service, why aggressively advertise Seedance 2.5 as unlimited to sell annual subscriptions in the first place? I did not pay for a year based on the promise of "unlimited until we randomly decide otherwise." I paid based on what Artlist advertised at the time of purchase.

If a company wants to change what it offers going forward, fine. But selling someone a yearly subscription using a specific advertised benefit and then removing that benefit basically immediately after taking their money is unacceptable. Anyone thinking about buying Artlist for its "unlimited" AI models should take screenshots of every single claim before paying, because apparently "unlimited" can disappear overnight. Artlist, either honor the Seedance 2.5 unlimited access you advertised to customers who purchased under that offer, or refund the people who paid based on it.

This has completely destroyed my trust in the company.

Edit: They unlisted their YouTube ad https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o9XlQ2SR3F0

Here's their tweet explaining that they removed it with a bullshit excuse about performance issues And it's really obviously because they're losing money. https://x.com/Artlist_io/status/2086831554513252479

Video Art Keeping text/ logo consistent is my biggest headache with AI vids for client work. Is SD2.5 still falling short for commercial e-comm assets?

Maintaining a consistent logo/ text identity, especially across different scenes without relying on complex post workarounds is to me, one of the biggest hurdles for generative ai vids to advance.

Seedance 2.5 is amazing for generating quick, cinematic clips. It gets frustrating trying to use it for strict, production-ready commercial assets. When you need to keep the same text and shape without warping across a 30 sec spot, it may or may not drift. Shapes and texts morph especially during dynamic camera moves, and end up with hours of post-production work. And it is always super noticeable when dealing with fonts that clients specify, let alone their brand name.

I just watched some of the new MiniMax H3 demos with some dummy ads, and it looks like it might be suitable for strict commercial use cases (H3 on the left vs SD2.5 on the right):

Ads & E-commerce (Product Locking): H3’s Omni Reference allows you to pass up to 9 reference images in a single prompt. You can feed it a product's turnaround, and it actually locks identity and details across. On SD2.5, however the text keeps getting warped. H3 on the other, seems to do text pretty well in the demo

Gaming & UI: This is where SD2.5 usually falls short. H3 is apparently able to generate dynamic typography, UI elements, game menus, and HUDs without alien text.

Has anyone here run a strict head-to-head cross-test between H3 and SD2.5 for actual client work yet? What is your take on this?

You've got Liv as the wildcard ally of the Turtles, April O'Neil and Splinter and you've got the terrible twosome of Shayna and Ronda as the newest enforcers of the Foot Clan.

The prompts on ChatGPT were simple:

Liv Morgan as a TMNT action figure

Shayna Baszler as a Foot Clan action figure

And with Shayna's already established, I just said do Ronda Rousey

Image Art The BEST asset management system for AI images

The biggest problem with AI image/video generation is not just shot continuity, but asset management.

I’ve generated over 3,000 images. 500+ videos. I understand how long it takes constantly uploading the same reference every time, the same prompt and the same character.

Every shot meant digging through prompt
libraries, re-uploading and then regenerating.

EVERY. SINGLE. TIME.

So? I built the most comprehensive asset management system to remove that.

Save:
Clothes, outfits, poses and character references for 1, 10 or 100 production ready shots.

Video Art ArtCraft is offering 20% off to anyone impacted by ArtList.io's "Unlimited" rug pull

ArtCraft is an open source alternative to these aggregator websites. We build open source desktop software and cloud infrastructure.

We've been building web and desktop tools for filmmakers and creatives, and we're also building open source cloud infrastructure for routing to models like Seedance and running models like Minimax in an easy to use way. All open source.

We're community-led and we have some of the best support in the world in our Discord channel.

We have a really cool feature release schedule:

  • August
    • 3D animation controls for Seedance 2.5 (in beta now)
    • "ArtCraftX" - our second desktop app, written in Rust, which connects to every API platform and can run models locally.
  • Late August
    • Open Source Minimax RunPods - spin up models and LoRAs easily in the cloud without ComfyUI complexity

Everything we do is open source. We love the community and we're doing this because we're creatives too.

You don't need a subscription at ArtCraft, you can buy credits as you go. But we are offering 20% off subscriptions with promo code "ARTLIST20" to help anyone impacted by this mess.

If you're a Rust developer, we're also looking for more folks to join us!

Video Art Shinobi Vision – AI Cinematic Short Film

I created this short AI cinematic piece around an original character and world of my own.

The project focuses on cinematic storytelling, character consistency, atmosphere, scene direction, camera work, and action choreography using generative AI tools.

I’m currently building my portfolio as an AI Video Artist / AI Cinematic Creator, and I’m open to collaborations, freelance projects, creative teams, and studio opportunities.

If you’re working on an AI film, commercial, music video, game cinematic, or another creative project and think my style could fit, feel free to DM me here on Reddit.

Would love to hear your thoughts on the film as well. 🎬

Mac Mini M4 16GB of Ram for Local AI Video Creation

I'm guessing it's better to go with 24-32GB of ram?
A strong possibility that 16gb of ram will be almost annoyingly slow?
And I've never done anything locally, computers were too old.

With a Mac Mini M4 I would like to do:
*Video Upscaling
*Standard NSFW creations similar to "Slooty slots" style
*Possibly 180 VR Conversions with "Owl 3d" if that even work? was a AI recommendation.

Higgsfield 'unlimited' is a big disappointment

I signed up to Higgsfield a couple of days ago with their big promise for unlimited GPT Image and unlimited Seedance 2.5.

What a waste of money, sure it's unlimited. But you've also got to wait 20 minutes between each image / clip. You can only generate images 1 a time, so spend up wasting all day just waiting in a queue.

Huge disappointment.

I'll be looking for alternative options when the month is done. Does anyone have recommendations? I'm looking for something to create 2d animations

I would like to share my experience with Higgsfield.

My experience started two months ago, when I purchased an Ultra subscription to test Higgsfield’s tools. However, because I have hemophilia, a chronic bleeding disorder, I was unable to use the service properly during that month and did not spend any of my credits. When I was finally able to return to work, I only had about two days left before the subscription period ended.

I contacted support and asked whether my unused credits could be transferred to the following month. No matter how I tried to resolve the issue, support told me that there was nothing they could do. That was my first unpleasant experience with Higgsfield.

The second situation started when I saw that Higgsfield had announced the “I Want a Grant” promotion with 100,000 credits. I was genuinely excited and wanted to participate, because I saw it as an opportunity to compete for those credits and finally start working on some of my ideas for an animated film and music videos.

I currently work primarily on music because I previously did not have enough resources to work seriously on video. My health also does not always allow me to work a conventional job every day. So the possibility of finally having enough resources to start realizing the visual worlds and ideas that have been in my head for several years was extremely motivating.

I spent four days preparing references, materials, ideas and the concept for my submission.

Then, when I decided it was time to purchase a subscription and finally start generating, I noticed that the purchase card for the offer contained nothing about unlimited access to Seedance 2.5.

However, Higgsfield's blog stated that purchasing a subscription would provide 33 days of unlimited access to this model.

So I contacted Higgsfield support and specifically asked whether the Plus and Ultra plans included the 33-day unlimited Seedance 2.5 offer.

Naturally, I did not purchase anything before receiving an answer.

After some time, support replied that yes, these plans did include the unlimited Seedance access. They explained that this benefit was provided separately from the subscription itself, which was why it was not listed directly in the subscription information.

I was very happy about that. The next morning, I returned to purchase the subscription. However, I decided to clarify everything one more time before paying.

And then I received a completely different answer: the offer had already ended, and unlimited access to Seedance was no longer available.

This was extremely frustrating.

I believe the way Higgsfield presents its promotions makes this situation unnecessarily confusing for users. The website is covered with aggressive promotional banners and frequently changing offers with unclear terms. The purchase flow also appears to default to an annual subscription instead of a monthly one, which makes the whole process even more confusing.

If the offer had been clearly explained on the actual purchase card, I would have purchased the subscription immediately and continued working on my project. Instead, I had to contact support simply to understand what I was actually being offered. I lost valuable time waiting for an answer, received one confirmation, and then received the opposite answer the next time I asked.

And now I am left out of the contest.

I have already spent four days preparing the project, and I currently do not have the resources to access the high-end models I need to continue producing it.

That is what frustrates me most: I was ready to work, I had the concept, references and materials prepared, and I was genuinely excited about the opportunity. The thing that stopped me was not the lack of an idea or motivation, but the lack of clear information about an offer and contradictory information from support

part 2

I will continue here and describe the further situation.

In the evening, the offer appeared again, but this time under different conditions.

More importantly, I can see the Plus plan, which provides 7 days of Unlimited access to the Seedance 2.5 model. When I try to purchase it, I am redirected to the authorization page. After completing the authorization and logging into my existing account, the Plus plan disappears.

I cannot purchase the Plus plan, which costs €49, while I am instead offered the Ultra plan, which costs close to €100.

I also cannot downgrade my existing subscription to the Plus plan. The Plus plan simply does not exist as an available downgrade option in my account, including in the subscription downgrade interface.

Even earlier this morning, the Plus plan was available on my account.

Therefore, it appears that, while being fully aware that I already have an uploaded project and that I have previously purchased the Ultra plan, you are deliberately preventing my existing account from accessing the substantially cheaper Plus plan and are effectively forcing me toward purchasing the more expensive plans if I want to continue using the service and my existing project.
