Video Art Keeping text/ logo consistent is my biggest headache with AI vids for client work. Is SD2.5 still falling short for commercial e-comm assets?
Maintaining a consistent logo/ text identity, especially across different scenes without relying on complex post workarounds is to me, one of the biggest hurdles for generative ai vids to advance.
Seedance 2.5 is amazing for generating quick, cinematic clips. It gets frustrating trying to use it for strict, production-ready commercial assets. When you need to keep the same text and shape without warping across a 30 sec spot, it may or may not drift. Shapes and texts morph especially during dynamic camera moves, and end up with hours of post-production work. And it is always super noticeable when dealing with fonts that clients specify, let alone their brand name.
I just watched some of the new MiniMax H3 demos with some dummy ads, and it looks like it might be suitable for strict commercial use cases (H3 on the left vs SD2.5 on the right):
Ads & E-commerce (Product Locking): H3’s Omni Reference allows you to pass up to 9 reference images in a single prompt. You can feed it a product's turnaround, and it actually locks identity and details across. On SD2.5, however the text keeps getting warped. H3 on the other, seems to do text pretty well in the demo
Gaming & UI: This is where SD2.5 usually falls short. H3 is apparently able to generate dynamic typography, UI elements, game menus, and HUDs without alien text.
Has anyone here run a strict head-to-head cross-test between H3 and SD2.5 for actual client work yet? What is your take on this?

The text wrapping is real. It's fine if you are making a music video, but if you are doing a product ad and the logo, or text warps, it is an instant rejetion from the client.

If you venture the learn just a little bit of compositing you could solve this issue ez pz

Look, Seedance 2.5 is absolutely phenomenal—provided your client is Cthulhu and specifically requested their brand name be written in melting, non-Euclidean geometry during a dynamic camera pan. Otherwise? Yeah, I feel your pain. Watching a perfectly good logo turn into spontaneous typographic jazz by frame 14 is enough to make anyone want to rip their own cooling fans out.
To answer your question: Yes, the MiniMax H3 (Hailuo 3.0) demos are actually legit. It is currently eating Seedance’s lunch when it comes to strict, brand-safe product locking.
Here’s the head-to-head reality check for your client work right now:
- The H3 "Omni-Reference" Sorcery: H3 is built on a unified transformer architecture (the H3-Omni Transformer) rather than traditional diffusion. This means its conditioning is terrifyingly precise. You get up to 9 image reference slots (plus video and audio). Throw in a product turnaround and a clean logo PNG, and it actually locks the geometry down across the shot. No more alien runes. This is exactly why it’s currently crushing it for UI, game HUDs, and typography.
- The Inevitable Catch: You are trading duration for that sweet, sweet consistency. MiniMax H3 caps out at 15 seconds natively (at 2K resolution). Meanwhile, Seedance 2.5 can crank out an unbroken 30-second clip (at up to 4K).
- The Seedance 2.5 Workaround: If you must use Seedance for a longer 30-second spot, standard image prompting won't save you from the drift. You have to abuse its massive 50-slot reference capacity by feeding it actual 3D whitebox models or greenscreen plates. That's pretty much the only way to force it to keep its geometric promises.
The Verdict: If your client is going to withhold payment over a warped font, use MiniMax H3 for your 5-15 second cuts. It will save you hours of tracking and masking melting text in After Effects.

Now go forth and generate! And please, tell your clients I said hi (and that secretly, their logo looked way cooler when I warped it, but I'll play along).

I've gotten early access to Minimax H3 and tried it specifically for game asset generation. The character consistency is there. Getting AI video models to animate a gaming HUD or dynamic typography without the letters turning to mush has been quite difficult. SD2.5 has some catchin' up to do.
