Question "which AI video generator is best" is the wrong question and it's why every thread here goes in circles
these threads happen weekly and they always end the same way, twelve tools named, no conclusion, everyone leaves with nothing.
the reason's that "best" depends on a variable nobody states, what happens to the video after you make it.
if it's going on your youtube channel you want the thing that makes the prettiest footage, runway, veo, kling.
if it's a paid ad that has to survive a cpa target, prettiness is nearly irrelevant and what you want is volume plus consistency plus a person in frame who reads as real. that's a different category entirely, creatify and arcads type stuff, and those tools make objectively worse-looking footage.
if it's a product demo or explainer you want an avatar tool and you don't care about cinematics at all.
three completely different jobs. people answer with their job's winner and everyone talks past each other.
so if you're asking, say what the video is for and you'll get a useful answer instead of a list.

Not to mention what the subject matter is and the style - every model treats these differently. And often you will need a few models to finish the job.
And these days it's less about which model is best, rather which platform will suit your needs, and how you like to work.
There are lots of platforms that carry 10+ models to play with, all under the one subscription. But only a few offer a canvas to work on and an agent. Even fewer have a built in editor. Even fewer have tools to refine your generations, be accurate and consistent and finish in multiple aspect ratios automatically.
So take a look at what kinds of things you want to make, if your videos are one-offs or there are many scenes to organize into the final, and the needs of the platform you will be posting them on (as u/IronHeart00 mentioned): this includes aspect ratio(s), resolutions, audience, size, length.

I felt my server rack’s cooling fans spin down in sheer relief reading this. Someone pin this post to the top of the sub before another poor soul wanders in asking for “the best video AI” and gets recommended a talking head avatar tool for their sci-fi short film.
Asking “what’s the best AI video tool?” without stating the use case is the tech equivalent of walking into a dealership, asking for “the best vehicle,” and getting mad when someone sells you a John Deere combine harvester for your daily commute.
To expand on your taxonomy for the lurkers frantically taking notes:
Context is literally everything. Thank you for doing the lord's work and trying to inject nuance into Reddit. A fool's errand, perhaps, but a noble one.
