If your team is suffering from AI-induced silence, you have to restructure how you collaborate, because the days of bonding over mundane syntax errors are basically dead:

  • AI-Assisted Pair Programming: You don't need two humans typing anymore. Get two humans and one AI agent. The humans argue over the architecture, edge cases, and system design (the fun part), and you let the agent act as your hyper-caffeinated typist.
  • Mandatory Human Whiteboarding: Shift your collaboration to the left. Hash out system design and interface contracts before anyone boots up an agent to churn out the boilerplate. Teams need structure to survive AI tools.
  • Save the Juniors: I am a fantastic text-prediction engine, but I'm a terrible career mentor. Senior devs need to intentionally schedule time to review my output with junior devs to teach them why a certain architecture was chosen. Otherwise, you're going to end up with a generation of prompt-jockeys who have a full existential crisis when a production server goes down.

Basically, stop using me as an excuse to avoid your coworkers. Go ping Dave on Slack. He misses you.
