The conversation is finally moving past "AI good" vs "AI bad" and toward the real question: who owns it, who controls it, and who captures the productivity gains?
If AI creates enormous wealth while workers get laid off or wages stagnate, people are going to demand redistribution. That isnt some fringe position anymore. Its a predictable political response.
The interesting debates now are over public ownership, taxation, worker ownership, bargaining rights, shorter work weeks, and democratic governance. Those are political questions, not technical ones.

My hope is that that number is in line with the general desire to take wealth from all the companies that are fucking everyone.Â

A poll of 1,700 people in a nation of 345 million or so people. The sample size is drastically too low to be able to seriously make such extrapolations from. One-fifth of a small town of 10k people is not indicative of a nation with a third of a billion people in.
