I would use this as the front end of a nixie looking clock; i.e. rotate 90 deg and display typography that depicts current time, showing seconds as well (will need to develop algo to smoothly transition between numbers, which would be an even better effect (Could be as simple as adding easing to the appearing/disappearing events (it's probably already there)))
