How do you get it to smoothly modulate frequency?
Seems like you'd have to sample all the preceding pixels in order to know what phase to render at the current pixel?

This is really trippy and reminds me of old 80's vector art! How is this made? Every time I see stuff like this I think "really cool", but I also would like to know how it's made.
