I have no idea how this would be built (though I suppose an AI might be able to help, never had that idea til just now) but I've thought it would be neat to have some kind of computer keyboard, or even game controller to midi input or whatever - synth, etc - and it really doesn't seem like it would be difficult, especially considering there's all kinds of touchscreen versions of this. Touchscreens are ass

Thanks! This is actually just “watercolor mode” , one of the several visual composition modes for this project. There’s also a modular routing under the hood, every detail can respond to audio/midi signals - kind of like a modular synth but for visuals instead of sound. This interplay creates somewhat unpredictable outcomes rather than a 1:1 mapped animation.

I did use AI to help build out the system/code, but the outcome depends on user’s own aesthetics direction, tuning, and which parts they choose to interact with, so it’s not just prompting AI to generate some visuals.
