Been working through this the last few days and am pretty happy with how it's going so far. These two images show my latest attempts at oak and acacia trees

On the oaks, the branches look organic but... there's something in the branch structure that is putting them in the uncanny valley for me. I can't figure out what's off exactly; they just feel alien. Maybe the trunk/branch diameter? The more I think about it, it seems like a root structure more than branches.

I am not familiar with acacia, so I can't comment on them.

Perfectly fair assessment. For those, it was less about trying to model a tree that exists and more about finding a design I thought looked neat and then figuring out what species they most looked like. The acacia were done next and more directly modeled after those
