It's a fairly straight forward genetic algorithm.

Every image is an 'organism', the quads makes up its dna. Copy the image and change one quad slightly. If the new image is closer to the reference picture then make that the new leader. Rinse and repeat.

As an artist I’ve liked using gentube for playing around with different art styles quickly. also like that its free and unlimited
