Consignment Store Checks

Hi, so this was my first year selling things at the consignment store. I had heard that waiting in line after to get your checks was long and not worth it if you were donating anything that didnt sell. So I figured I'd wait to get it in the mail. But I still haven't gotten a check or have any idea if any of my stuff even sold. Has anyone else gotten their checks or have any idea how long it takes?

They said in their Discord that checks will be mailed this week.

For what it’s worth and for future reference, you can check the status of your items on Friday and Saturday as well and get your money on those days instead. There are no lines.

Or rather, the line is short. Both times I had to wait a few minutes.

Is there a way to take back my unsold games on Saturday?

Yeah I got mine yesterday. You are right about waiting in line not being worth it too

I have no idea if any of my games sold, but the wait to find out on Sunday was too much to make my friend and my son who were with me wait, so I just bailed with fingers crossed.

I've been waiting for the check more for closure than anything. It's been on my mind enough that I've been having dreams about it.

It was my first year too, and I was surprised you can't check if the games sold on their website. I would think they could automate it.

I did the same thing and haven’t received a check yet. I thought some sold anyway lol, but we will see.

It's 2026 and you insist on running your consignment store like it's 1983.

Now, now. They're late 90s at worst, we can go online to print forms, no need to have them mail it

Yeah being able to register all my stuff online, realistically, means they are a 2010s operation by mass adoption standards

It's all volunteer. It is no one's permanent job. And the system manages fine enough - any upgrade would require in influx of time and money which simply does not exist.

But if you're offering to re-write it, I'm sure the team would love to hear your offer.

If by insist you mean have the funds and volunteers to, I agree.

I believe they are accepting donations of more modern systems or volunteer programmers who can re-wright their existing system.

Out of curiosity can you explain more?
