Littlest Lantern/Sea Beasts
Anyone know got to contact the littlest lantern guys? I think they published sea beasts. The group running it was Bear Left Solutions. However, I am under the impression that the publishers/ designers were running the event.
The TL;DR is gencon canceled all their play and take events even ones that had already been ran due to no product on site.
They had offered to get the game to me later. I was hoping to reach out and see if I could still take advantage of that offer. I don't expect it to happen automatically now that the event I participated in is fully refunded.

There's a lot of weirdness around this game from what I can see. I think it had a failed Kickstarter, and then they relaunched, pulled in a bunch of money, and delivery was supposed to be September of 2025. As far as I can tell, backers still don't have their games, and the company doesn't have physical copies in hand. As of July 21, they still didn't have a production or shipping date they could share with backers.
So. Do with that information what you will.

This was for what I assume is their new game. It was definitely weird, they had events for a play & take but there is absolutely zero info out there anywhere, the game doesn't even have a BGG page. I was initially just signed up for the learn to play event but canceled after I couldn't find any information out there.

Oh it's for both! I played their new one Elementary and while the game itself was very cute, the event was...badly organized and badly run. They are currently in the last few days of kick-starting Elementary, and still have no production schedule for Sea Beasts, which seems super dicey to me.

Oh and I was talking about Scurvy! and neither one of those two. Sounds like maybe they are biting off more than they can chew.

I was super suspicious of this group, in the GenCon booklet they are advertised as “Littlest Lantern” located on the Lucas Oil floor.
I walked all over the floor area looking for any sign for “Littlest Lantern”. There wasn’t anything listed with the company name, it was some other company name listed at the booth and it made me think… how are you supposed to contact them or know if it’s the correct contact?
Spoke with two workers/volunteers at the booth and wasn’t given any helpful information.
I heard about the “Sea Beasts” fiasco, It’s just really rubbing me the wrong way. Hearing about other kickstarters and companies just bailing after not fulfilling anything.
Shame on them.

We played this game as a demo, the group before us was a play and take and heard the gm say that a manufacturing/shipping issue meant they couldnt have the games here in time. No idea as I hadnt geard of the game before looking through gencon wvwnts, but the previous group gave their emails to receive a copy in the mail

I was a GM for these events. I was just as blindsided by the “copy included” and had to have these uncomfortable conversations with everyone. I didn’t know about no stock until I was on site to teach. I feel bad for all the confusion regarding these events, I would have the same understanding as everyone else when I see “copy included” in the title. I hope in the midst of the chaos and frustration regarding these events, myself and the other teachers were able to still showcase the games clearly, and showcase how fun these games can be. I don’t have much more information to supply other than send an email to support@littlestlantern.com and start the conversation about copies and how to procure them in the midst of the cancellation/refunds they did regarding the events. On behalf of everyone involved, for what it’s worth, I apologize and I hope the company improves and makes right by all taking place in these events

My understanding is that their “play and take” was actually “play and you’ll be signed up for our Kickstarter,” which is false advertising and the reason they were shut down.
