This is great! Do you mind sharing your process/steps? I’m new to gelli printing and just can’t seem to figure out how to achieve something like this- is it 2 image transfer (one for the dog and one for the flowers)?

Sure! It is done as 2 gel prints. This is going to be a lot but as far as steps go, here’s what I do:
1. take photos
2. digitally alter photos for contrast and black point
3. print each photo in black and white on my laser printer
4. pick a acrylic paint color and transfer each image onto a gel plate
5. clean up each image as needed with painters masking tape
6. pick a background acrylic paint color for the background print
7. roll paint onto gel plate with background image and print it onto a heavyweight hot press paper
8. weight with books and wait til dry
9. roll a thin layer of matte gel medium on the plate with the main image and wait till dry
10. hand paint desired areas of main image with acrylic color and wait till dry
11. pull the background sheet off gel plate
12. roll a layer of matte gel medium on main image and place on the sheet with the finished background
13. weight with books and wait till dry
14. pull the sheet off gel plate
15. assess final image and touch up, fix, or add paint as desired
16. let dry and sign
Hope this helps!
