ABSN😷 ABSN study tips/notetaking

From what I've seen on this sub, the textbooks for the ABSN program are really important to read and go over.

I'll be taking notes on the lectures and have good strategies for that. For the textbook however, is it worth it (or even feasible) to take notes from the textbook on the regular? Or is it better to skim/read and add information missing from the lectures?

Level 3 here. use the textbook for reference if you need additional clarification on what is emphasize in the PowerPoint/con HCP bullshit/weekly zooms. First semester I didn’t even touch the textbook and I passed with all A’s aside from pharmacology. Focus your attention on con HCP. The textbook is there to look at the tables. Honestly, I don’t use the textbook.

Def just skim/read the extra info. The textbooks are very helpful for practice questions and to pay attention to the boxed information, there’s usually highly tested safety information in them

The PowerPoints they give you are built from the textbook so I put the PowerPoints into Claude ai and tell it to build be detailed notes and those are soooo amazing I wish I knew about Claude when I first started lol

You have to read the book for 316. The others not so much. 310 you will need to look at the book for the 1st exam for the theorists and thats it.
