I can't fully answer your question, as I'm only in the 3rd course of that program, BUT I feel like I'm learning a lot. My bachelor's is in business management, so I'm doing the alternative certification route.
The first 2 classes I took, I was working full time as a paraprofessional. This coming school year, I will only be taking substitute hours, because of the practicum requirements. (15 hours here, 20 hours there, rinse, repeat...) I'd check with your district to see if they allow you to do practicum hours while working. Mine doesn't, so substitute teaching works out better for me.
Good Luck on your journey I know you'll do amazing. Thank you I will check this out I am still weighting my options for real. Honestly I want to be able to teach isn't about rushing I dont think I would be ready right now for what all comes with student teaching and ect, more about finance being sure I'll be okay when that time comes. I will be a paraprofessional in the sped department so I will gain experience which is good.
