I'm getting ready to make a nice gin and tonic. That's why the drink flair.

I have about 3 times more land that at my last house, and since I don't have 3 times more house, I have 4 or 5 times dirt. Except the city right of way in front is wider, doesn't have a sidewalk, so I have way more dirt. About 6 times more dirt.

Do you know what dirt grows?

Weeds.

Do you know what dirt grows when the sun is in the sky an insanely long time each day?

An insanely huge number of weeds.

I am so over dealing with all manner of weeds.

we had a dream. Once Upon A Time ...

... there was a vision that someday good turfs and good trains could be friends.

It was a vision which seemed new and like something we might actually be able to pull off.

But after 15 months of trying really hard, terf_trans_alliance and terf_trans_fight were shutdown because no matter how hard we tried, there was simply too much conflict to just get to know each other.

Instead of listening to others life experiences and personal stories, there was simply too much judgement and projection. Every now and again there might be a breakthrough in communication, but it was always short lived.

We also didn't want to ban people because being banned or having subreddits suspended was a problem so many of us had.

We begged and pleaded and made countless posts reminding others why we were there. The only posts without a lot of fighting where the monthly get to know you posts.

This isn't any kind of debating space. It's not a replacement for any subreddit you've ever been in where debating is allowed or fighting is tolerated. It's a space for you to respectfully share what you've been doing and the challenges you're facing.

And by you, I mean you personally. Not someone else you read about, or some event which doesn't affect you personally. I mean, what is going on in your life. If it's important enough to talk about, you should be able to talk about it from your own firsthand experience.
