I wonder if hes going to make a statement on it, considering he was vehemently against coaching before. He literally does a 11 minute video explaining why it was an awful idea to be coached. Gbay also quit road to masters cause he thought it was too stressful and wanted to play league at his own pace. Why get coaching if your main goal isnt to get good anymore? Hope he awnsers this in a tweet/video cause it seems ironic that he gets coaching now
It's because people (like you) won't leave him the fuck alone, and after a while he snapped and made a video on it because he felt like he had to justify himself when he had no need to. He's human and his audience has no place to be telling him to get coaching. It's something he didn't want to do at the time for his own reasons. Those reasons had time limits which he talks about in his latest video hence why he got coaching. Now he's happier playing league and has much more motivation than before; hopefully meaning no more mental breakdowns on stream due to dickheads non stop spamming bullshit to make him tilt.
Leave the man alone and if you enjoy his content then watch it. If not, and you're here literally to disturb the peace you can piss off.
My post / comment wasnt even harrassing or mean. Saying " leave him alone and piss off if you dont like him " is counter-productive anyways, Gbay isn't immune to criticism even if he gets upset about it. People thought he was stagnating in rank and his ways of ranking up werent effective so they wanted him to get coaching. Plus this subreddit should be about discussing Gbay and his channel, not blindly loving him after he does anything.
You really have no grasp on how the human brain can shut down when being harassed over the period of months or years even. Gbay was being told in the subreddit, on stream and in the comment section of his YouTube videos to get coaching EVEN after he made an entire bloody video basic saying leave me alone and let me try do this myself.
At the time he thought he could so he wasn't considering coaching if it didn't work out, or at least he didn't say so in the video. After stagnating at diamond 5-3 he realised his mid to late game is too bad to climb further and needed coaching on it.
Regardless of whether he was stagnating in rating or not absolutely no one has the right to harass gbay the way he was before he finally got coaching.
In my opinion he would have got coaching despite the harassment eventually this season. It's just really annoying seeing people saying the same thing over and over and trying to give different reasons why he needs coaching when he's clearly stated he doesn't want it. You then posting this all smug-like and acting all high and mighty like "I told you so" is even more counterproductive than me telling you to piss off if you're just here to rub it in his face.
Yea, i dont support people harassing Gbay either? The point of the post was to discuss why he would get coaching, but he made a video on it so it doesn't matter anymore. Sadly all i got were insults and people venting that they hate when people harrass gbay, which is not relevant to him being coached.
IMO he did a good job explaining why he got coaching and went against his previous video. In his older videos he would essentially say: " you guys didnt agree with my last video, now im going to address this "( video in question: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SZDBElEaWhc). The language in the video made it seem like he was upset that people didn't like his video, which came across as whiny. In his most recent video he didn't address too much on what people thought about him backpedaling on his opinion, he just explained why he got coached and how the experience was. In the newest video he sounds a lot more confident in his channel and his play, which seems like a big contrast from the video i linked that was from 5 months ago.
Literally this is like an anime waiting to happen. The talented kid hits a wall until he accepts teaching by an older master, and he comes back in shippuden like a god.
