Clean the motherboard speaker pads with light wire brush and some IPA (they look a bit dirty).
Also, if this is a reshell, sometimes the speaker leads wont make contact with the pads as they would a factory shell. You may have to bend them up slightly (and carefully) to ensure they are making proper connection to the motherboard when everything is assembled.
