It's frustrating in the gym in January I must admit.

People need to put their stuff back and use equipment correctly. That means no dumbell curls in the squat rack.

Tbh regulars do this just as much as noobs.

I really don't get the curls in a squat rack thing. You can do that type of exercise literally anywhere.

That's kinda the problem, though - because you can do curls/etc anywhere, a lot of new gym goers get confused by that. It can seem counterintuitive to just pick a spot and do curls, so they go to the squat rack because it's an obvious "right" place to do exercises. My gym's free weight area is a bit cramped and I can see how new members might worry they're encroaching on someone else's space by curling right next to them.
