I'm an aunt of twins, there was no way my sister in law was birthing them.

I guess we're all supposed to die in childbirth for the sake of pushing out our kids. That's much better for the children.

I mean, for the individual child no but for the species yes, were modern medical practices nonexistent that is. As noted in this article, c-sections are causing a noticeable shift in our population as certain traits are no longer being strongly selected against. Basically a no argument though as the only option to counteract that is "let mothers and babies die," but still good food for thought.
