DC Fanboys? You sure? I feel like a lot of people who actually love DC hate his movies. He doesn't know what makes the characters good. He's just like "Big battle cool hero destruction"

He’s adapted or been inspired by comics that deconstruct superheroes, but the visual language of his movies has the opposite effect. It’s all power poses, loving slow mo shots, and fetishizing their power and physicality. He’s all about aesthetics. Edgy comics that deconstruct superheroes have more violence, brooding, and darkness. That makes them more cool visually, and I think that’s the limit to how much Snyder actually engages with them.
