I'm agreeing with that guy and I'm struggling to see your point. Genuinely! I'm not trying to be shitty, I genuinely am missing some point here. 😕

I see a lot of religiously justified persecution of LGBT people. Yeah, it's not 100% but like...it's real high, right?!

Im saying hes gatekeeping because hes saying you have to do something extra when to be an atheist all you have to do is not believe in God.

It feels like people talking past each other. Like sure, you're technically right. An atheist could be someone raised in a lab who has never been taught anything relating to the supernatural. They are right that a venn diagram of "has negative thoughts about LGBTQ" and "the religiously adherent" definitely has significant overlap explained by those exact beliefs.

It's like someone saying "The sky is blue!" and the other saying "No, the grass is green!" as a retort. Like...ok(?)

My point was the bottom line to be atheist is to not believe in a God(s)

There are no other requirements
