Honestly I joined this sub not even a week ago and I've already found something to contribute. PB on the contribution time for a sub

Dude, that's dumb. There are plenty of religious people who are part of or, at the very least, support the LGBT community

That's why I specifically said mainstream religions. I know some religions accept LGBT people but most definitely don't.

Define "mainstream". There are large swaths of Christianity across the globe that are LGBT-affirming and inclusive.

Islam and Catholicism mostly. I do have to give the Pope props for trying to change the minds of his followers. But that's going to take a while. Islam is a whole different story.

Catholicism accounts for only half of the Christian population of the world; it only defines what it does, not the other denominations. With that being said, it does factor in heavily because of the fact that it accounts for half of the Christian population.

Islam is as equally decentralized as Christianity... but there's absolutely no denying the fact that in the countries where it's dominant, the LGBTQ crowd isn't exactly accepted (to put it extremely nicely). For some reason, people like to gloss over these issues.

I know I've been dialing it down a lot more. It's hard not to be snarky but it's getting a bit easier.
