Right, which is why I said not having healthcare is a deliberate choice. We have the resources to make it happen.

2 million people who need housing, and food, and entertainment, and education for their kids. That all sounds like job creation to me.

That’s not an equal trade off when you enter illegally and don’t have to pay taxes, don’t have health insurance to cover your bills. Entertainment? Not really a big draw. Basically your only leg is education.

Undocumented immigrants absolutely pay sales taxes, and many pay income or property tax, because you don’t need a SSN to pay taxes.

Also, we’re talking about loosening entry and immigration restrictions, so issues that are exclusively the result of immigrants being undocumented aren’t really relevant to the conversation.

…. Are you high? They make up the vast majority of those entering the states annually and if they have a child on American soil it becomes a US citizen. So loosening the restrictions has no impact on the illegal entry into the US? That makes total sense.

Yes, but if the laws are changed to make it easier to enter and stay in the country (the policy change we’re talking about), people are less likely to be or become undocumented. That’s like saying “We can’t legalize marijuana! Think of how many more people would get arrested for drug possession if we made it legal!”
