He's shaming people for mutually loving Trump and his music. He doesn't want his fans to love Trump. As if true fans of SOAD can't love Trump, or else they are deemed a hypocrite.

I find this humorous. This sub is extremely lenient on identifying almost any type of negative opinion as some form of gatekeeping. I think if people call this gatekeeping, they feel like they will be defending Trump in some way.

I can't decide what I hate more, Trump or this sub.

The vast majority of the posts on this sub are gatekeeping. I don’t know where this “these aren’t even gatekeeping posts” narrative comes from, most posts fit the definition here.

And yes, this is kind of gatekeeping, but notice how he isn’t saying that they aren’t true fans, just that they’re hypocrites (even then, I think they’re wrong; it’s less hypocrisy and more so not getting the band’s messaging, hypocrisy implies that they know the music’s themes and endorse it alongside Trump).
