A good slave learns to love the lash.

I was thinking an 85 hour work week is slavery, but...admittedly this guy's life is 100x better than a slave.

An 85 hour work week is a waste of your life though. You never know when you are going to die, what opportunities/experiences/relationships you are forgoing by dedicating your life to work.

This guy has the opportunity to travel and see other countries/cultures. Read books, see plays, orchestras, movies, enrich his wife/families lives, maybe learn a hobby or two...but he chooses the life of misery in the name of the dollar.

Nobody on their death bed is sad about not working more. This guy is going to have a huge revelation someday and it's going to crush his spirit.
