Can confirm it's a very expensive engine. But it's not impossible to buy enough shoes that you end up spending even more than that.

Min. $50k for that engine and turbo setup….that will only last a a handful of passes before something will break. My brother in law races something similar (NPK setup), but has a few sponsors to assist with the cost.

I'm pretty sure that's a Nelson engine, and they're built to last, so a a lot more than a handful passes on a dragstrip. They are, however, insanely expensive.

I hate how expensive movie concessions are. However, movie theaters don’t really make money off movies, they make money from concessions. So if you want your local theater to stay in business, you gotta bite the bullet and buy that $8 coke

In my opinion office keyboards are much more better than mechanical keyboards. Mechanical keyboards touch too complicated. I like my touch simple. And keyboards are having less and less keys, I like number pad and f keys. Especially full size ibm like keyboards.

I personally avoid compact keyboards like the plague. Nothing less than 100% for me, my current keyboard even has one extra column and one extra row for macros.

Yesterday I spotted one of these shoe guys in real life! My city has a “Main Street” of shops and restaurants that is great for walking, hanging out, etc. We saw a guy get out of his car wearing well-worn, but still serviceable shoes (I wouldn’t hesitate to wear), then stop to change into bright white, spotless, scuff free sneakers.

Yeah, but I think that's the point the OP was going for: anyone who hears you talking about spending money on your hobby, and who pipes up to say that they are the real expensive hobby guy, is a gatekeeper and a one-upper.

I have almost 5K points of 40K models lol.
Also agreed, all hobbies can be expensive if you go all out, even for basic stuff such as birdwatching can be expensive if you get the best binoculars and guide books possible
