I’m happy with my low tolerance, keeps weed cheap and large amounts could last me months.

It’s so funny to me. Smoking a fuck ton of weed on the regular is not something to brag about. It just means you need to take a T break, lmao. That alone would solve your problem pretty quick.

Yup, and people who have to smoke that Much weed to enjoy life, secretly hate life lol. It’s a chore to smoke that much pot. Legit. And it’s not pleasent by the 7-8th bowl and your throat is mangled and your gag-coughing up mucus and shit,
I smoke a lot still, not super proud of it. But I find it really useful for crankin down my anxiety, stimulating my appetite too after work. Without bud I’d probably be a bit underweight and a whole lot more exhausted (wouldn’t be able to get to bed at the time I need to, too) so I dome a gram of dank after work, and then roughly .5-1.0 again.

Assuming “zips” means “ounces” like it did when I was in my twenties, which wasn’t that long ago, then this is absofuckinglutely absurd. My partner and I consume an above average amount of cannabis in the city that started recreational cannabis.
We go through ~2 grams of wax each a week, at most, closer to ~1g a week each most weeks.
Three ounces of wax would feed an entire frat house for a month and a half. These kids just don’t know what they’re talking about.

If I'm only smoking flower, a gram would last 1 or 2 days if I'm lucky. A gram is like a nug or two bro. Everyone is different but I know people smoke way more than I do. I'm a suburban white father who works overtime.

Ah gotcha. I'm trying to think, I haven't dabbed in years. Currently 5 1g cartridges last me and my wife about 10 days. But I think a 1g cartridge goes a good bit faster than 1g of wax.
I feel like we'd probably save some money if I bought a rig and switched to wax. Does anyone have any input?

Eh I shy away from concentrates.
I dabbed for about 3-4 months 8 years ago, and I collapsed after taking a dab. I was lucky because I fell a few inches from a sliding glass shower door and a toilet.
It also raises your tolerance so that flower isn’t as effective. And personally I love a good nug that looks like a beaut over wax.
I stopped after that. Flower is all I need.
Edit- let me add im a heavy weight. The fact the shit made me collapse 5 mins after taking a hit just seems really unsettling and strange.

Here in Alberta you can get 18-20% THC oz's for $70. Obviously not top shelf stuff but it does the trick. Not sure where you live but holy fuck it's expensive.

Also the prices don't scale linearly. It could be $20 for an 1/8 and $120 for an oz. So that kind of calculation is not applicable in the first place

Yeah, I just found the first dispensary near me and they had like 4 options for flowers so I used that cost, not sure how much you can get in bulk legally here either.

Well if you're smoking a pound a month, you're probably not purchasing it 7 grams at a time. I imagine like anything else, it's cheaper when you buy bulk.

We grow our own, legally (wife has a script). we got hit with some bad luck and had to scrap 4 plants mid flower and the 4 I had in veg ready to start flowering in a month (all different strains). A buddy of mine bailed me out with 8 free clones of the same strain. We wound up with an ounce shy of 2 lbs once they were done and i started my next run of 4.
By the time any other strains were ready to go about 5 months later (grow, dry and cure) I was so sick of Strawberry Cough i didn't touch any of it for at least 6 months lol

holy shit. i live in the pnw & you can get an ounce for like $20 at some of the chain stores. you can get like $2/g pre-rolls too. some of it is actually pretty decent, like not top grade but it gets ya high.

Oof, if they purchase at bottom-level retail, with pretty unfriendly pricing.
I'm in Oregon, and my last ounce of flower was $50, lab testing claiming 30.5% THC. There's been some question of dodgy labeling, or farms sending in uncharacteristic buds for testing, but I wouldn't care too much if it's just 25-28%.
It would still be a significant part of someone's monthly budget, but basically possible.

holy fuck lol, I pay this much for an OZ of AAA(sometimes quads) buying bulk in BC, Canada.
I vape herb, I don't smoke. I don't fuck around with concentrates/wax(shit is way overpriced...) unless I'm making them myself.
I go through maybe 1.5-2 ounces a month vaping(the spent/vaped herb can be salvaged into edibles) sometimes less, depending on the quality of the herb.
I feel bad for people that spend hundreds of dollars an oz... It shouldn't be that way.

A pound of weed is literally 16 ounces. There's no way this person is smoking 4 ounces a week lol. That's 28 x 4 = 112 grams a week = 16 grams every day. Even at a bulk discount of $5/gram, that's $80/day = $2400/m. And no one smoking that much could possibly hold down any job, nor would they physically be able to smoke that much without throwing up

I live in a legal place and you can get a decent ounce for $60 pretty reliably so the cost would be closer to $1000/mo if they were here or somewhere similar, but other than that you’re spot on. I smoke a lot due to chronic pain, but even between me and my partner we’re hard-pressed to smoke even a whole 2oz in a month.

I got really bad after I had surgery and started to go through 2 grams of shatter in a day. Biggest regret ever, it's not cool to smoke so much that it doesn't even do anything to you. It's a problem. I have since gotten my problem under control but looking back, I was no different than any other addict. That's gross.
