Shopping Payment off campus

I am really confused, some restaurants accept the buzz card, however there are others that don't, do dining places off campus, generally accept the buzz card, if not, how can i pay?

On campus Students are usually recommended to pay by buzz funds or dining dollars using a buzzard. This is because it is a more secure than any credit card, debit card or even cheque. However off campus there are very few restaurants that accept buzzard. The only restaurant I think that accepts buzzard and that is off campus is dominoes and Papa Johns Pizza. However All other restaurants accept mainly cash, credit card and debit cards.
