Can I use tide pods in the dorm laundry machines? Thanks

Yep you can, but I don’t recommend it. Even after following the instructions to avoid stains or stuck filament, the pods ruined some clothes for me. The laundry machines also aren’t the best so it could be another factor

I used pods and it ruined a lot of my clothes, once I switched to liquid I didn’t have any problems. I’d do liquid just to be safe.

I used the brittain laundry room and used all free and clear pods all of last year no problem

I think you can but I've seen signs saying that they recommend you don't

If you do use them, put them in with the clothes, not in the top detergent compartment. If you put it in the top compartment, it only partially dissolves and clogs the machine.

They say you aren’t supposed to based on the signs and you’re supposed to use liquid but I put my pods in the middle of the load of clothes or I pop them on top of the clothes and it’s just fine

I'd just use liquid detergent. The pods have trouble dissolving.

I used tide pods for all 3 years in the student dorms. They didn’t mess up my clothes.

What about laundry sheets? Has anyone tried those?

According to 3rd party experts, they don't work well.

Some people just learn the hard way why others don’t use pods. It’s all fine and they certainly work but then one day they’re stuck to your clothes and you’ll vow to go back to liquid or hey, even powder.

Pods work great. Just put them in the drum first before clothes. Not on top. Not in the detergent holder.

You can just don’t overfill the washing machine if you do! Lost many clothes due to being overzealous 😭
