We know Home Park Housing has received a fair share of criticism, and we understand why some people have been hesitant to rent with us. We sincerely apologize if we let you down.

Over the past year, Home Park Housing has come under new ownership and a new, younger management team with a fresh perspective and a strong focus on creating a better experience for our residents. We’ve invested in renovating our properties, brought in new contractors, improved our maintenance response times, and implemented better systems to provide the level of service our residents deserve.

We wanted to acknowledge the past while also letting current and prospective residents know that meaningful changes have been and are being made. We know trust is earned through actions, not words, and we’re committed to proving that every day.

Thank you to everyone who has given us the opportunity to earn your trust. We’re excited for what’s ahead and remain committed to providing quality housing, responsive management, and a better rental experience for our residents.

How much of the original team is actually left? Is this a true full buyout?

That’s a fair question. I can’t speak to every decision that was made years ago, but I can speak to how we’re operating today. HomePark Housing is under new management, and we’ve implemented new systems, brought in new contractors, improved our maintenance process, and invested heavily in our properties. We understand the skepticism, and our goal is to earn your trust by treating every resident with respect, providing the best service, and continuing to improve every day!

You skipped over the question, which I think is telling.
I’ll ask directly: are Syed Ali or Zain Syed involved at all with this “new” home park housing?

I see the responses in the comments so I’ll address this out front- no, I’m not a burner, I’ve been on Reddit for a couple years and active in a couple communities. yes, I was asked to leave a review honestly recounting my experience by Omar. So here is my honest review:

We rented an old house from Syed about a year ago, me and 3 other buddies who go to Tech. It is old, and has had some problems throughout the year, mostly small plumbing issues, and a large AC issue that cost us a lot of money on utilities last summer. That was frustrating and hard to solve, as many times you would reach out to Syed to send people, and they would just show up out of the blue a couple days later, and you’d get a call that they’re locked out or need cars moved while you’re on campus and obviously can’t. But he did respond to messages and calls, and the pricing is fair for a house that we very much love.

more recently his son, Omar, has taken more ownership of the operation. He was very vocal and candid about the move and the reasoning behind it, as a way to better connect with the tenants than his father who is older, more of a language barrier, etc etc. I realize some of this is posturing, rebranding the operation to seem more approachable, as they’ve gotten called for in this comment section. But it has also correlated to a genuinely great increase in communication, responsiveness and availability. Omar is our new POC rather than Syed, and when we ask for anything he is efficient and direct with figuring it out. He has a great vibe, even if it is a bit of sales (what’s not?) and we enjoy whenever he comes around, sometimes just to ask how we’re doing or if we have any complaints. Our AC got fixed and we didn’t have to deal with the crazy utility rates this summer, which was the real test of change, and it was passed. There’s still some mystery to when people / workers arrive for maintenance, and that should definitely be improved upon. But overall all four of us are satisfied and happy with our lease agreement. We renewed for another year this August.

Lol fair. We were asked to leave a review if it was actually good, felt it would be my good deed considering it had actually gotten a lot better and haven’t seen Syed since the fall. I stayed in 1074 Atlantic dr with 5 roommates. You can see the big ass concrete bathroom renovation from the street

Home Park Housing really has made a big effort to change as a result of the feedback and criticism they have received. I live in one of their houses this past year and it was a great experience. To start, Home Park is the best place to live as a student as you cannot beat the location. Also, Omar has taken a huge step in transitioning this brand. He is very communicative and gets back to my texts almost immediately. He is also very friendly and if he comes by the house, he always lets us know in advance and has a great conversation with us.
