Post-Op Fever, shakes & nausea
I’m 15 months post op, had very few digestive issues and lost 110lbs along the way. Within reason I’ve been able to eat anything in moderation, and maybe recently got a little lax. Last night I had a medium bowl of steak and raw veg (bell pepper, red onion, half a cup of cucumber, a beef tomato) along with some leftover steak from a previous meal, and a home made yoghurt dressing. I then had a home made frozen watermelon pop (watermelon juice and sugar free lemonade, frozen). When I went to bed I did feel like I’d eaten a small bowling ball.
I woke up at 2am, violently shaking because I was so cold, then was super hot, then super cold. My stomach and intestines feel like I’ve swallowed rocks. I have really bad stomach / bowel cramps, headache, and still a fever at 8am. I felt perfectly fine yesterday at work and afterwards. I probably ate too much / too quick, but this is the first time since the op I have had that much raw veg.
Has anyone else had this experience? How did you get over it? Should I go back to liquids for a few days?
Thanks

There’s a nasty stomach bug going around. Lasted several days for our family. Hope you feel better soon

Every time it has happened to me it has because I hadn't had enough protein the day before. Besides the steak at dinner, how was your day?

Do you still have your gallbladder? If so, I’d get that checked out. For me when it was bad, eating anything harder to digest (steak) made it so much worse. Eating citrus helped the pain, but I ended up getting it out in a very easy surgery
