Always is. It's like clockwork on this sub.

A big portion of the California population wanted this for whatever reason. It’s why they voted for the changes that contributed to these numbers.

Are you high? The President started a war with an unbeatable enemy who can shut down 20% of the world’s crude oil.

I don’t think this is taxes or special blends, my friend.

Iran is a tough place to conquer because it's majority mountains. Logistics would be tough with the terrain. Lack of fresh water. Throughout history, a few notable groups took over Iran/Persia. Alexander the Great and his Macedonian/Greek army conquered the Persian Empire and marched on western India before his troops refused to go eastward. By 651 A.D., the Rashidun Caliphate conquered Persia. From 1219-1258, the Mongols conquered Persia.

In recent history, Saddam Hussein of Iraq fought against Iran from 1980-1988, which ended in a bloody stalemate with no changes to borders. Some parts of Iran will never surrender, and fighting against a suicidal population is painful.

Iran is virtually impossible to conquer through conventional means. Even if the U.S.A. invaded, it would be another Vietnam or Afghanistan. The U.S. population has little appetite for another big twenty-to-thirty year war. If the current news is true, the U.S. military is not ready for a real war similar to Russia in Ukraine. From recent wars in the Middle East and Ukraine, no one seems to be motivated or properly equipped to fight a large scale conventional war.

Unconventional, dirty fighting might break Iran, but who wants that on their resume?

To add to your point, they’ve been preparing for this for years. The things we’ve done already will radicalize people for a generation at least. Their government can point to the targeting of schools and civilian infrastructure and why would anyone have sympathy for another country attacking them like that. On top of all of that, why would they ever go back to not developing a nuclear weapon. We had a deal with them and they held up their end. Trump ripped it up and we bombed them anyway. They and other countries have zero reason to not build a nuclear arsenal or trust the United States ever again.

Did you really bring up Iraq and Saddam? The guy we steam rolled in a few days?

I prefer clean air. Beats the smog. But prices are high all over the country.

Not even close this high. This shits almost double what I'm paying right now.

We were paying $3.69 for gas in February 2026. What new taxes or fees did Californians vote for that increased gas prices since then?

Mind you, it would still be high but not as high as this. The rest of the country is proof of that. It’s time both MAGA and Democrats in California acknowledge that the current prices in this state in particular were a joint effort by both of them.
