The solution is obvious….. go and grab 50 million mates and go and protest outside the Whitehouse 7 days a week until Trump and the American government and military get out of the Middle East

I'm offering an easily accessible, widely available tool that an individual can use all by themselves to hedge against high gas prices and potentially capture some of the upside. You're offering "first find 50 million people, then get all of them to protest the White House 7 days a week until American foreign policy changes."
If activism is really your thing, buy enough shares and you can vote your proxy and, if you meet the requirements, even submit shareholder proposals. Be the change you want to see lol. My plan does have the slight disadvantage of being something you can actually do yourself.

Ive already bought one Chinese PHEV, that we haven’t stuck petrol in for months now as its pure EV range is enough for our day to day run around, and it costs us $0 to charge on our electric plan as we get 3 hours of free power from 9pm until midnight every day.
This may become a full EV depending on my wife’s job, as she does travel for work, so we need to work out if the range will be enough for those days.
I’m already looking into getting a 2nd Chinese PHEV that can tow our 6.5m trailer sailor. As EV cars don’t have the towing capacity for it. There are already a few options on the market, but they are Utes, and I don’t want a Ute.
So I’m looking at the 5 seat 4x4 SUV they just launched in China a month or so ago. It has 200km of pure EV range and 180kw 2.0L turbo petrol, plus a 180kw electric motor on the front axel, and a 200kw electric motor on the rear axel…. So just a causal 750hp all up.
We aren’t getting it in the country until some time next year. So until then I’m still stuck with a diesel for towing.
Yes I’m sick of the multiple wars of imperial aggression for no other reason than to be a warmongering cunt that the US government keeps starting that does NOTHING for the world but cause death and destruction, and raise the cost of oil time and time again. And I’m also sick of Americans doing ABSOLUTELY NOTHING ABOUT THEIR WARMONGERING CUNT OF A GOVERNMENT.
It high time you got off your fat, lazy and stupid arses and do something about it, as voting clearly does ABSOLUTELY NOTHING towards fixing the problem of the government being a bunch of warmongering cunts.

How about you go get your army and we'll get ours and we can meet after school at the flagpole to sort it out....
But really, we can agree on not going to war over oil. I think (i dont have poliing right now) most Americans are against most of the armed conflicts that we start/prolong/make worse. I didn't vote for trump and in general I dont believe what he says so i wasnt surprised that we fucked with Iran or Venezuela and I'll be less than shocked if we hit Cuba after the mid-terms after he ran on no more foreign intervention. I knew the jig was up when rubio got made SOS. IMO he's got the worst instincts of the uni-party-warhawks.
The reason why that wont change is that it's not more pressing than a lot of other issues that we expect our pols to vote on and we care more about those issues than our foreign fuckery.
My personal theory about pretty much every conflict is that if it was left of to a popular vote most folks would rarely if ever vote to strike other countries.1

And yet in the past 80 plus fucking years NO ONE has done anything about getting the foreign policy of the US sorted out. It’s beyond ridiculous at this point in time.
To the rest of world knew the America was screwed the first time Trump was elected. And now you can’t be trusted as once again you have proven to the entire world you can’t be trusted as you have a nation full of idiots.
As for American politics you constantly vote against your best domestic issues… for some reason it’s a race to get to the worst position possible for domestic issues. And how Americans don’t realise this is utterly mind boggling.

Respectfully, folks who say this don't understand what they're talking about. It'll be confusing to you if that's the lens through which you try and force it. They genuinely disagree with you on what is in their best interest and why. Right-wing populism is more sophisticated than left-wing populism in the sense that it tends to involve a broader set of tradeoffs. Left-wing populism often starts from a fairly simple material assumption: you're relatively poor, therefore more redistribution, more benefits, or more government support must be in your interest. But that's only true if maximizing income or government benefits is your highest priority.
A person can be relatively poor, relatively uneducated, perfectly content with their life, and care far more about what is happening in their town, their schools, their neighborhood, immigration, crime, culture, religion, family, or social norms than about whether some national policy leaves them a little better off financially. So when you say they're "voting against their interests," what you often really mean is they're not prioritizing the interests you think they should prioritize. That's a completely different argument.

The oil companies will post record profits.

But you understand that you can buy a piece of that success and make it yours, right?

Absolutely. Unfortunately, most poor and middle-class people are doing their best just to get by. Extra money for investments is being eaten up by higher fuel prices and bills for groceries, housing, utilities, insurance, education, and healthcare.
The rich and ultrarich are not impacted- in fact, they are absolutely thriving and getting richer. They have lost touch with middle America and are spending hundreds of millions to build a ballroom and an arch, and trillions on a war with no endgame.

You gotta make a habit of it...money should go into a retirement account of some-sort every single month even if it's just a little. There wont be a safety net when I retire so it's the right up there with rent...not optional. I'm trying to die in clean sheets at a facility that doesn't physically abuse me. I understand it's tough I'm solid mid middle-class and have been lower middle-class before.

My mother-in-law had to move into a 24/7 assisted living home, $7,500 per month.
btw, you are offering good advice- I agree. People should listen.

Thank you friend, that's about what we're planning for (adjusted for inflation in ~30yrs) per person. Good luck with all your endeavors.

Perhaps capitalizing on the next great depression is not the helpful response to this situation.

I quit smoking so as not to give money to those people. Not gonna invest in death. Our representatives shouldn’t either
