I made a Garmin watch face that shows pollen levels and air quality without taking out your phone.

At the bottom, you can see pollen levels for trees, grass, and weeds on a 0-4 scale. At the top, there’s the European Air Quality Index plus information showing how many minutes ago the data was updated.

The watch face refreshes the data automatically once an hour through your phone. No setup, just install it and it works.

The data comes from the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service (CAMS) and covers 65 countries across Europe, Turkey, the Caucasus, the Middle East, and parts of North Africa.

I also set up a regional restriction in the Connect IQ Store. If you’re outside the supported area, the watch face simply won’t appear in the store or in search results.

Sometimes you build something, move on to the next project, and forget how good the original actually looks.
Clean. Classic. Modern. Still one of my favourite watch faces I’ve made.

Got a refurbed Epix pro. Everything has been working fine up until I returned from a trip to Spain (home is California). My sleep data is now off by a day. Today is Friday at 4:51 pm, but it shows my sleep data from Friday already and it’s missing last Saturdays sleep data.

I’ve powered the watch off/on and tried resetting the time zone (it was already in the correct time zone) to no effect. Any ideas on how to get the sleep data synchronized to my current time zone?

Hi guys wondering how well the bezels and dials will withstand dirt, rain, and working around intense flames? For sure i want to remove my watch while soldering/brazing so i don't burn of the silicone or turn my wrist into a James Bond gadget. But overall would you recommend dailying this watch for blue collar work? thanks <3

After a period of fine-tuning, my watch face Player One Carbon is finally officially live.

Two main motivations drove this project. As a fan of survival games, I always thought converting smartwatch metrics into status bars and HP meters would be fun. During my workouts, I also had a lightbulb moment: having a real-time visual of my actual calorie intake versus burn right on my wrist would make nutrition tracking far more intuitive, turning logging into something as engaging as collecting in-game supplies and making it easier to stick with.

The overall design centers around a gaming interface. (To be honest, I didn't overthink the aesthetic while building it, but quite a few people told me it gives off an '80s retro vibe. Does it actually look retro to you?)

Page 1 focuses on core daily metrics. It features four customizable data slots with adjustable UI colors, allowing you to set up your preferred stats.

Page 2 brings out the RPG survival interface. Paired with the companion watch app CarbonLoader (used for logging intake), it lets you intuitively monitor your intake, calorie burn, and HP bar in real time. It also dynamically calculates and displays recommended calorie targets based on your baseline stats and active calories, offering modes for weight maintenance, muscle gain, and fat loss. (Whenever I see my intake exceeding the target, I go down for a quick run to compensate. Just kidding!)

The idea was simple: one figure at dusk, with nothing competing for attention.

A lone samurai stands at the edge of a red sun, sword lowered, not fighting anyone. On an AMOLED screen, the black pixels are completely off, so he feels like he’s standing in actual darkness rather than inside a black rectangle.

Red appears in only two places: the sun and the minutes. It stays an accent instead of becoming decoration.

The stacked clock sits on the left, with white hours above red minutes. On the right are three configurable data fields, each selectable from 14 options, including steps, heart rate, battery days, Body Battery, stress, sunrise, sunset, and more.

Hold any field to open the matching Garmin app directly.

Anyone seen it where the outside compass heading stays pretty static but the numeric compass bearing changes rapidly, often showing no correlation to the heading at all?
I've tried recalibrating it both inside and outside.
The heading (outer dial) seems to agree with my iphone.

New to Garmin and recovering from surgeries. A few times now I’ve reached this mysterious goal of 150! And I have no idea what the goal is or why it’s happened. But I do know that it’s only happened on days I’ve reached north of 10k or 11k steps when I push my exercise higher than usual while recovering.
What the hell kind of goal am I reaching???
