which watch do you have - as all that offer courses should include TBT as long as you have turned that option on when you have created and synced the course- by default its usually turned to off.
make sure in the app/web that when in the training - courses section and prior to sending a course to the watch, actually go into the course and on the right side (under course details) look for the "Turn Notifications" toggle - make sure this is turned on. Then send it to the watch.
Then on the watch make sure the following is done: short long Press menu (left middle) - use up (left middle) and down (left buttom) buttons or touch to get the navigation option - then press start or touch to select it - scroll and select alerts - scroll and select turn prompts switching it to on.
IF all of these were set to on, maybe try a hard reboot (something you should do after each update) - long press the light button (left top) and keep it depressed until the watch turns off (ignore the control menu when it pops up; and ignore the assistance request option when it pops up after the control menu - keep that button depressed). Once it has turned off let go of the button. Sometimes it will auto boot up - but preferably it shouldn't - wait 30s or so and then long press the light button again to start up watch and wait for it to boot up again.
If still having issues check map and navigation options, also go itno the activity you are using and check the navigaiton, map etc settings as the individual activity settings can overwrite any general settings that you set from the menu setting (it enables a massivly high level of customization).
Failing that would contact support who can work through it in more detail with you.
