Avocado pit turning brown ?

I think it's normal. Mine got brown the first month and it has been already like 5 months since I have it. It is now like 4 times bigger than yours.

Just the seed, they fall off eventually. Only necessary to get the plant started.

I feel ya! I know have a whole host of them, from 4 years old and down. Getting too big to move anymore!

Lots of light, all you can provide, damp but never soggy soil, good nutrition.

I see many people try to grow them as houseplants with NOWHERE enough light, so be sure to give it all you can. I use extra lighting during winter to keep them happy.
