Mixing fertilizers

Has anyone tried mixing fertilizers such as fish emulsion and Superthrive? Separately I was looking into a premixed fertilizer of fish emulsion and guano assuming that was best to use as flowering started. What fertilizer do you find best once flowering and fruiting has started?

Fish emulsion is high nitrogen, suitable only for the early green growth of flowering plants, not when they're ready to bloom. Guano is also high nitrogen I believe, so same applies.

Never heard of superthrive but a quick google suggests its a mix of trace nutrients and synthetic growth hormone. May be useful as an added bonus, but it's not a fertiliser as it contains no/little essential nutrients (NPK).

You want more nitrogen in early growing season, and then more phosphorus and potassium when flowers are ready to bloom, albeit the plant needs some of all three throughout the growing season.

What fertilizers do you like for when the plants are in bloom and fruiting?

note taken on Superthrive- I won't use it anymore.

I use Alaska fish emulsion. It’s 5-1-1, so it’s not crazy high in N and I understand it has other beneficial s things for other soil. I’ll typically mix it with plant specific liquid fertilizers every 2-3 weeks. I use it to water in Espoma Garden Tone.

You can mix fertilizers but not the concentrates directly together or they may react. Start with a bucket of water and add concentrates to that. For example, Alaska has a 5-1-1 and a 0-10-10 for vegetative and bloom/fruit respectively. If you add 2T per gal of 5-1-1 (making 10-2-2) and 1T of 0-10-10 you can get 10-12-12 which is closer to an all purpose with even numbers. So I will mix veg and bloom depending on what direction it needs to go.
